You don’t act any different with me than you do with any of the other siblings—and random people you hang around with.” Ares replied with a furrow of his brows. “You’re affectionate with everyone, so there is no telling and when you have a mind like mine where I think everyone doesn’t like me, it gets even harder to see."
Her face softened a bit as she watched him speak, Persephone bit her bottom lip for a moment. That wasn’t entirely true, but from his perspective she could see it. The siblings she was close too, she was affectionate with, soft and warm. To him it wouldn’t look any different. "Ares I was always closest to you..” she let her shoulders drop a bit before she set his hand against her cheek with a sigh, her lips against his palm once more. “Do you see it now? How important you are to me?”
In a way she knew why she might not have shown him as much, it would draw Hades’ attention to her relationship with her brother– he might have forbidden her jaunts to see him, made things harder than he had.
