Cleaning up messes had always been Elijah’s job. Even since the two of them were mere boys he needed to clean up the messes to make sure that Mikael did not find out much of what happened. The last thing he ever wished for was for his brother to get into trouble. From the very moment that he was born all Elijah wished to do was protect his siblings, the younger boy who was always at his side being someone who was in need of such things. It seemed that day was no different and there he was doing his best not to go into lecture mode. Even though all he wanted to do was tell his brother to not be reckless. The last thing they needed was for their father to find out where they were. Dealing with Mikael was not a pleasant experience and he did not wish to have to evade him more than they already did, especially with the messes that Kol could make.
The body and blood could be cleaned up in a minute for now he needed to make sure that no one in that room remembered a thing. That was the beauty of compulsion, being able to erase the minds of everyone there and they would never know the difference. Except it seemed that it wasn’t going as planned. As soon as the red haired woman before him spoke he turned his head and watched her carefully, wondering just how she seemed to be immune to it. That had not happened before. No one was immune and no one certainly knew that it was a form of magic. For a moment he stayed silent. There was certainly a dumbfounded look on his face. He did not understand why she had not taken to it. “What are you?” He finally questioned, figuring that she had to be some kind of supernatural entity for it to not work on her.
The red head stared at the man for a moment, watching him as a slow smile crossed her face. Well that was wise at least, he asked what she was and not who, though the answer was much the same. Tucking her hair behind her ear she looked around them though not enough to draw attention. “I could be anything,” she admitted. “Or nothing at all. Perhaps I am a specter… a witch,” But a witch would fall to his compulsion and that she knew. Persephone couldn’t really do anything other than smile, he looked so utterly dumbfounded that she couldn’t help but tease yet the situation was more dire. “You are not human, allow me to help you. That girl’s soul needs guidance to the afterlife or she may haunt this place and I can do that.”
