“That’s all I need to know.” The god hummed as he curled up in the chair and just closed his eyes. If she was going to work for more than an hour, he might as well rest up to the extent that he could. Would be time well spent since last night, even after she left and his anger died down, he was spent with being so strained after everything was said and done. It would be like a normal persons night of no sleep with how it was like for him, despite the abnormal sleep patterns he had in the first place. Close to two hours and his eyes slowly opened when Persephone’s voice came back into his ears and not the clack of her keyboard. He turned his head towards the goddess and reached out his hand for her.
Just a single action turned her heart in ways that all the finery and jewels never could. It almost made her feel bad that all Ares had to do was hold out his hand to her and she was his, completely, utterly– but then again she’d always been. All he’d ever had to do was hold out his hand and she took it, without thought, without hesitation. Getting to her feet the goddess walked over to him, divine beauty and grace lacing her fingers with his as she moved to lay on top of him curled against his chest. This was where Persephone had always wanted and needed to be, where Ares was– "You know I always know when you enter the Underworld… I’ve always been able to feel it.“
